Location

The Contact Copper project is located west of the town of Contact, Nevada, adjacent to US Highway 93, between the cities of Wells and Jackpot.

The project geology is conducive to a low-cost, heap leach method of extraction.

Legally established in 1909, the Contact mining district comprises the developed portion of the Salmon River mining district. The town of Contact, the principal settlement, represents the centre of the region approximately 95 kilometers south of Twin Falls, Idaho and 80 kilometers north of Wells, Nevada. The district is approximately 480 kilometers by rail from smelters in Salt Lake City, Utah.

The exploration site is located in the foothills of Ellen D. Mountain, the largest mountain in the region at 853 meters high, and located just 5.5 kilometers west of Contact. The region is semiarid and vegetation is sparse.
